idaho bird distribution

Sample Website - in the process of being constructed: The Preface, Bibliography and Acknowledgements pages are not constructed yet. Distribution maps are only completed for the 4 Loon Species and are updated.  Other information is from the 2nd 1998 edition and will be updated for the final webpage.  The logos are for Montana and will be replaced by logos for Idaho. Clicking on the logos right now will bring you to the Montana Bird Distribution  (I would suggest you look at the website).  Eventually logos for Idaho Fish and Game will lead you to their webpage. Logos for the Idaho Museum and Natural History and the Idaho Audubon Council will also be included.

The recording of bird sightings in Idaho is an ongoing process.  Records may now be submitted by using the forms provided on this website.  Go to the Status Change Form for species with 20 or more records in the database.  :  Enter Sightings.  Please take a moment to review the Rare Birds Report before making your submissions.

This web site is the Online version of the Idaho Bird Distribution: Mapping by Latilong  by Daniel A. Stephens and Shirley Horning Sturts and published by the Idaho Museum of Natural History and Nongame and Endangered Wildlife Program of the Fish and Game. It includes a Database containing bird records from Idaho.
