Monthly Chapter Meeting

  • Lutheran Church of the Master 4800 North Ramsey Road Coeur d'Alene, ID, 83815 United States (map)

We’re pleased to welcome Inland Northwest Land Conservancy as our featured speaker. Their presentation will explore current land protection initiatives guiding their work, along with a clear, practical overview of the conservation easement process, including the key steps involved and how individuals and organizations can support conservation efforts. Our upcoming event at Wes Hanson and Theresa’s Shaffer’s Carder Farm, a 160-acre conservation easement located in Cougar Bay, was the first such conservation easement in Kootenai County, and led the way for many more easements through the Inland Northwest Land Conservancy.

INLC has also offered to coordinate a private field visit for our club to one of their conserved properties—a peaceful, protected site on private land reserved exclusively for our group to enjoy birding together. The date and details for this special outing will be shared as soon as they are finalized.
