NIC Loop & Higgens Point

  • Fernan Ranger Station 2502 East Sherman Avenue Coeur d'Alene, ID, 83814 United States (map)

Let’s get together on this cold January day to see what we can find along the Spokane River near North Idaho College (NIC Loop) and out at Higgens Point. We will follow it up with optional hot drinks in downtown Coeur d’Alene.

Meet at the Fernan Ranger Station for voluntary carpool logistics.

Leader: Ted Smith

Target Birds: gulls; ducks; and whatever else we find

Level of Difficulty: A driving tour, with stops along the way for getting out of the vehicle for scoping and binocular observation (you can choose to stay in the car). We will get out at Higgens Point for observation and perhaps walk ½ mile. Join us for hot drinks following the event, weather permitting.

Be sure to check here for the latest updates on events, as Winter weather can change our schedules quickly.
