Turnbull National Wildlife Refuge Day Trip

  • At Home Store Parking Lot 201 West Neider Avenue Coeur d'Alene, ID, 83815 United States (map)

Long-time member and great birder Midge will lead us on a visit to Turnbull National Wildlife Refuge to observe birds and other wildlife. We will follow it up with lunch in Cheney.

Target Birds: wintering waterfowl and early Spring migrants; western bluebirds (early but already seen there over the past week!). We plan to see a moose or two as well!

Meet at the At Home parking lot where carpools can be voluntarily arranged at your discretion. Bring snacks, water and a pair of binoculars if you have them. Dress warm for the expected weather.

Access Considerations: Easy. Mostly driving, with stops along the way for scoping and binocular observation. We will walk out to the wetlands, about a 1/2 mile walk on a flat paved pathway.

Please email us at rsvp@cdaaudubon.org to reserve a spot and to receive email updates.

Dates/times subject to change-stay tuned here for the latest information.
