Join Coeur d’Alene Audubon and Idaho State Parks for one of North Idaho’s most spectacular wildlife experiences—Eagle Watch at Higgens Point.

Each winter, Bald Eagles gather along the shores of Lake Coeur d’Alene to feast on kokanee salmon. At the peak of the season, hundreds of Bald Eagles may be visible at once, filling the trees and skies around the lake. It’s an unforgettable sight for birders, families, photographers, and anyone who enjoys experiencing wildlife in the great outdoors.

Coeur d’Alene Audubon volunteers will be on hand with spotting scopes to help you get an up-close look at these magnificent birds. We’ll share fascinating information about Bald Eagle biology and behavior and offer tips for observing wildlife safely and respectfully.
