Breakfast and Birding at Carder Farms

Join us for our year-end social, a breakfast potluck at Carder Farm hosted by Coeur d’Alene Audubon chapter members Theresa Shaffer and Wes Hanson. Their farm and home is located in Cougar Bay adjacent to a 160-acre conservation easement, and was the first conservation easement in Kootenai County, leading the way for many more easements through the Inland Northwest Land Conservancy. Wes and Theresas’s ongoing work in land conservancy continues to impact and support our bird populations.

Our hosts will provide the main dish of breakfast casseroles with coffee and juice, as well as plates and utensils; bring your favorite breakfast item to share, e.g., quiche, fruit salads, breads, rolls or muffins. If you have a chair and coffee cup, that will be helpful to our hosts as they prepare for this large group. Don’t forget your binoculars as we will be birding the area after we eat and visit. Parking is limited; our group will be car pooling from the parking area just below their hillside on Hwy 95. Full details will be provided upon receipt of your rsvp.

Last year was a magical gathering in this beautiful home and location. Thank you to our hosts, Wes and Theresa, for sharing their relaxing and beautiful home with us as we celebrate the end of our 36th season.
