We kick off our 37th season in our new venue with a presentation by local nonprofit Birds of Prey Northwest. Coeur d’Alene Audubon is pleased to present Birds of Prey NW founder and raptor biologist Janie Veltkamp at our monthly meeting, which is open to the public. With decades of experience, Janie shares fascinating insights about how birds of prey live, hunt and contribute to healthy ecosystems, and audiences meet owls, hawks, falcons, and eagles that now serve as ambassadors after injury or rehabilitation. Standing just feet away from these birds creates a powerful moment of connection.
